Living easy, living free
Season ticket on a one-way ride
Asking nothing, leave me be
Taking everything in my stride
Don’t need reason, don’t need rhyme
Ain’t nothing I would rather do
Going down, party time
My friends are gonna be there too
I’m on the highway to hell …………………………………………………………
There are people who are artists, people who are painters, people who are actors, people who are holy, people who are famous and people who are leaders…
I am a different kind…I am a biker! No one forced me to and no one guided me to. I just wanted to be so I became one.
Years back when I was 20, started riding with my friend on his 1979 std 350. The ride was from Jamshedpur to Kathmandu, about 1400 km one way. All I could tell him after coming back was “If you ever plan to sell your bike, remember me”. He did and sold it to me in 1986. Since then my Whispering Thunder is with me.
Don’t know how many kms later, while working in Mumbai, got in touch with some likeminded guys who called themselves Inddiethumpers. Since then I have not really wanted to be anyone else. So many wonderful memories and so many yet to come….Few heartaches….All in a stride. So many fantastic buddies what else could I ask for.
May be I could ask for one more thing – Rather I could have a small wish fulfilled. My son has developed an eye for a bull. So …….. 2 generations of Inddiethumpers if possible and my heart will swell with pride.
The bond is so strong now that I have declared myself a life member of Inddiethumpers – no matter where I am!!!
