Biting the Bullet
Femina - October, 2004

The Inddie Thumpers in Mumbai are a 300 odd club of Enfield Bullet owners who ride together. As one member of what could be India's largest Bullet club puts it: "We don't ride to commute; we commute to ride."

They've biked over the high mountain roads of Ladakh and the coastal roads of Goa. They get together to learn about bikes and maintenance, promote safety and brotherhood and of course, ride. Women are part of the gang too! The bike is treated as a person here. "If you respect the bike, the bike will respect you," says Rajiv.

It's but natural that their bullets have names like Vanquisher, Blitzkrieg, Juggernaut and Chief.
